It is high time, we believe, that Japanese drink industries should join-forces to celebrate its success and boost the awareness further. We will be stronger together! London being the hub of world media and journalism as well as being the capital of world wine trade, the impact from London will be global.
Drink Japan is created to showcase the best of Japanese beverage brands with established framework and great potential to be an international brand. Drink Japan provides exhibitors and visitors invaluable opportunities to meet influential audience from both trade and public that will lead to a path onto a successful future. Wine is made in several places in Japan, but the national grape Koshu hails from the Yamanashi region in the foothills of Mt. Fuji.
Craft beer is hugely popular in Japan. We will have examples from large brewers as well as small independent brewers in Yamanashi.
Japanese whiskey is renowned for its craftsmanship, unique style, and diverse flavours. Inspired by Scottish techniques, it emphasises precision, quality ingredients, and thoughtful ageing. With global recognition, Japanese whiskey continues to impress whiskey enthusiasts with its elegance and innovation.
Shochu is a Japanese distilled spirit typically made from rice, barley, sweet potatoes, buckwheat or brown sugar, though it is sometimes made from other ingredients such as chestnut, sesame seeds, potatoes or even carrots. Typically shōchū contains 25% alcohol by volume
What makes and distinguishes a gin are the various botanicals included. Japan, with its four distinct seasons and highly varied microclimates, is ripe for gin production. Japanese gin botanicals create a unique aromatic signature with cherry blossoms, yuzu peel, sansho pepper and green tea.
In the downstairs food hall there will be an on site caterer providing Japanese hot and cold foods from ramen to sushi.
There will also be food stalls selling foods to be consumed off site, things like snacks, crackers, tea, rice etc.
There are typically two types of clothing worn in Japan traditional clothing known as Japanese clothing (和服, wafuku), including the national dress of Japan, the kimono and Western clothing (洋服, yōfuku), which encompasses all else not recognised as either national dress or the dress of another country.
